NEO1..... (a.k.a. Neil Davis) Ever since Neil was first exposed to electronic music at the age of 17 he knew it was a sound that would last forever in his heart and soul. After watching DJ's have the ability to pack dance floors and make them bounce he knew it was something he wanted to be a part of. The biggest influence was a party where DJ’s Prime & Seven (Norrie Taylor & Dave Armstrong) played a tag set of speed garage and right away I fell in love with the Pounding Beats and Warping and Dirty Bass Lines. Intrigued by this original 'new' sound at the age of 18, Neil and a couple of friends decided to get a pair of old decks and a 2 ch. mixer with no eq. and started playing around with a few different genres including House, Hard House, Trance, Nu NRG, Garage, Breaks and Hip-Hop, and never looked back ! Once Neil developed his self taught mixing skills adequately enough he started to get out there with bookings at night clubs such as Hush and The Pressroom to name a few, as well as many all night dance parties/raves. Over the past 9 years Neo1 has played countless opening and headlining gigs all up and down the Island and across the lower mainland as far as Kelowna. After taking a short rest from the scene Neil is back and ready to deliver some seriously Bass Heavy sets tuned to the Funky sounds of House and Breaks and the Bass Line Driven beats of Speed Garage and Bass Line House.
