TYLER DURDEN..... (a.k.a. Evan Batchelor) Is a newcomer to Victorias' great line-up of DJs, has been in the scene for nearly 15 years. He has been a part of every epic electronic era, from the Trance and Hard House of the late 90's, the Breaks and Drum n' Bass in early 2000, and the amazing Electro and Dub-step of the 'now'. Downloading as much music online as possible, Durden finally stumbled upon the new Electroey, Wobbly and Rasta sound of BASS WEAZAL, that shocked him to the bones. Immersing himself in this new sound sparked in him something that drove him to become a DJ.With only three weeks experience under his belt, Durden made his first mix titled "Alter Ego". Local Gods, W.A.X. were well impressed and invited Durden to play at their weekly show "Oh, Great! It's Monday with W.A.X."@ Hush Nightclub.
GUMBOOTZ..... Born in Toronto, Cale "Gumbootz" Robichaud, moved to the west coast at the young age of 11. Always having a major love for music, Gumbootz started his music career playing guitar. After numerous attempts at guitar a realization was made that Cale and guitars just don’t mix. It wasn’t until a friend picked up a couple turntables that he realized his true calling; to rock the mass’ as a DJ. Gumbootz has since built up a reputation as a Hard Hitting Breaks DJ, opening for world class DJ’s such as The Freestylers, The Breakfasters, Myagi, Sir Kuts and Influenza. He even hosted a weekly internet radio show on "Icestation.net". Gumbootz has played every genre starting with Hard House, to Breaks, to Drum n' Bass, and finally Electro House. But as of recently Gumbootz has said to hell with genres and play’s what he calls "Dance Music" as his genre; music that makes people dance! So when you go to a Gumbootz show your sure to hear a little bit of EVERYTHING! His energy, charisma, and ability to rock the crowd makes even the most stubborn of party goers hit the dance floor. DJ Gumbootz is definitely not one to miss.
RYANSEVEN..... Ryan McGregor has been a DJ in Victoria since 2005. He has tackled every sub-genre from Funky Breaks to Dark Breaks to House and Electro. If there is one thing Ryan is most proud of in his DJing, it is his stage presence. Like most DJ's, the ability to rock a crowd is the most gratifying feeling for him. Ryan has had the pleasure of opening for a number of international acts such as: Hyper, Czech, Deep Impact, Mark Dynamix, Nick Thayer, the Phat Conductor and Dig Dug. Last year, after DJing for just over a year, Ryan entered the HUSH 2007 DJ CHALLENGE in an effort to gain more experience behind the decks, and to see where he stood among many of his mentors who were also competing. He ended up going on to the final round and placed 3rd in the competition. It's experiences like this that make Ryan strive to continue pleasing crowds. Expect nothing short of a high energy set fusing House, Breaks, and Electro, to deliver a final product that won't let you leave the dance floor!
