KENZIE CLARKE..... Getting her start in early 2000 has allowed Kenzie Clarke to go through many changes, and incarnations as a DJ. Her beginnings were found in the realm of Hard Dance and Tribal Techno sounds, as she made her mark on Vancouver Island as 'The Sorceress'. As time passed, Kenzie started to incorporate new types of music into her sets, which were all mixed in the moment, spontaneity being the secret to her success. A move to Vancouver Islands' hub, Victoria, pushed Kenzie further forward in the electronic music scene, allowing her to meet some of the driving forces behind the sound. Changing between Techno, Breaks, and House kept people on their toes, and kept Kenzie searching for that perfect sound that could tie it all together. On a ferry trip to Vancouver for a gig in 2004, Kenzie had the opportunity to meet and talk with Mama Miche, a fellow DJ from Victoria, and from that encounter Bitchin Beats was born. With gigs lined up into summer 2008, along with a net release of collaboration with local production wizard Thor Kell, things are looking very bright for Kenzie Clarke.

CHRISTOPH..... Christoph Maitland is one of the few extraordinary DJs who defies being pigeonholed while being a world class party rocker. His mixes have reached out to thousands of people all over the world and his years of mixing at the clubs of Western Canada have made him a standout favorite among audiences. From Grindy Electro, to Percussive Fused Tech House, Progressive House and Futuristic Breaks his sets radiate a contagious energy. Christoph has become notorious for his Immaculate Mixing Skills, crowd interaction and his outright enthusiasm for great dance music. Not content to be just another DJ, Christoph prides himself on being a performer and giving his all in sharing the music that inspires him, to the joy of others. A DJ since the year 2000, Christoph has come a long way since his beginnings. Originally inspired by electronica because of its infectious rhythms and its broad spectrum of fresh sounds he decided to purvey his own style to move the dance floor. He succeeded at accomplishing his goals at an alarming rate, gaining widespread popularity in his home city of Victoria and playing neighboring hubs like Vancouver and Seattle. By end of the year 2002 Christoph finished in first place, winning the HUSH DJ CHALLENGE for Vancouver Island and foreshadowing great things to come. His second mix project “Way Up High” was then to good to be kept a secret when it received literally thousands of downloads all over Europe, getting over 1900+ from one site, www.lekkerlui.nl, with literally no promotion at all. In the years that followed Christoph would share stages with the worlds premium DJing acts such as: Donald Glaude, Steve Angello, DJ Dan, Hatiras, Shiloh, Meat Katie, Dylan Rhymes, Paranoid Jack, Mark Farina, Dave Aude, Johnny Fiasco, Jon Howard, Freaky Chakra, Dave Armstrong, Above & Beyond, Autobots, Christian Alvarez, Jelo, Kenny Glasgow, Dekoze, Czech, Kaskade and many, many more. He would then gain residency at Canada’s longest running underground dance night, Lush@Hush in September 2004. Headlining along side the best local DJs and opening for the world’s largest talent is where we find Christoph at present. In pursuit of new music and original sounds Christoph has embarked to make his own music. Having been producing for nearly 3 years now, he is ready to show his music to the world. Varying in styles Christoph’s production can be all of House, Progressive, Electro or Breaks depending on the track. Drawing on his main influences like Paranoid Jack, Dr. Kucho, Deep Dish and Steve Angello he seeks the same high standard of production work as his peers. Christoph is a multidimensional DJ and production talent who can be counted on to bring something unique and exciting to any music project or show he is involved with.
