GUMBOOTZ..... Born in Toronto, Cale "Gumbootz" Robichaud, moved to the west coast at the young age of 11. Always having a major love for music, Gumbootz started his music career playing guitar. After numerous attempts at guitar a realization was made that Cale and guitars just don’t mix. It wasn’t until a friend picked up a couple turntables that he realized his true calling; to rock the mass’ as a DJ. Gumbootz has since built up a reputation as a Hard Hitting Breaks DJ, opening for world class DJ’s such as The Freestylers, The Breakfasters, Myagi, Sir Kuts and Influenza. He even hosted a weekly internet radio show on "Icestation.net". Gumbootz has played every genre starting with Hard House, to Breaks, to Drum n' Bass, and finally Electro House. But as of recently Gumbootz has said to hell with genres and play’s what he calls "Dance Music" as his genre; music that makes people dance! So when you go to a Gumbootz show your sure to hear a little bit of EVERYTHING! His energy, charisma, and ability to rock the crowd makes even the most stubborn of party goers hit the dance floor.
