Dub Step-Liquid Funk |
Please bring a Non-Perishable food product to help replenish the Mustard Seed Food Bank... 16 BIT..... 16bit is DRT and Kidnappa. They’ve been working together as 16 bit since 2008. Since then they have been putting on some temperature-checking sets around the world and getting their dubplates spun out by some of the scene’s names like Chef and Rusko. 16 Bit has been making a HUGE dent on bass bins worldwide, with a spattering of vinyl releases and worldwide tours. The 16 Bit sound is original and instantly recognizable. You may know them from releases like the "Chainsaw Calligraphy EP", (with the remix EP featuring the likes of Jakes) or their massive remix of Noisia's highly anticipated "Machine Gun" (which made the top of the Beatport Dubstep/Drum n' Bass charts). In 2009, their "The Milky Pie Mix" was voted "Best Mix of the Year" in www.dubstepforum.com's Dubstep Awards, as well as the group coming in close second to JOKER for "Best Dubstep Producers". 2010 also saw 16 Bit's track "Jump" featured in a highly circulated Nike ad, and a remix appearance on Plan B's "She Said EP". They have had releases on Boka, Destpub, Urban Essentials, Sequence, Southside Dubstars, Heavy Artillery, Veri Lo, Mindset and Dub & Run. Expect a hefty set full of unreleased dubs that will be as heavy as you can handle. We are very lucky to have these giants come through our town, so let's show them how we rock! RHYTHMICON.....
