WES BEANZ
(a.k.a. Wes Bain) You can catch Wes Bain dropping bombs solo as "Wes Beanz" or "Bashful"..... or playing alongside hitman Xavier Walker as "The Loud Neighbours" or "W.A.X." Since his first beatmatch back in 2003 he's played over 100 shows on Vancouver Island using all forms of Breaks, House, some Drum n’ Bass, Hip-Hop, Chillout, and Dub Step. He's shared the stage with international heroes NAPT, Alex Metric, Atomic Hooligan, DJ Quest, Hook N Sling, Ali B, The Breakfastaz, DJ Mutiny, Baobinga, Treasure Fingers, D.I.M, and Shimon. If you like Funky, Dirty, Head-Boppin, Foot-Stompin, feel good music between 120 and 140 BPM then this man will not disappoint. Wes has recurring back pain and scars on his knuckles from throwing his fist at the ceiling while freaking out behind the decks. Placing third in the Hush DJ Challenge 2008 and first in the Hush DJ Challenge 2009 Wes has cranked up the heat making him very hungry for another hot sweaty showdown!!!!
MYKEE
Is a veteran of over 10 years, Mykee (a.k.a. Mike MacNeil) is one of the island's most versatile and on demand DJs and this summer was no different, as he performed all the major events like Soundwave Music Festival, VEMF (Victoria Electronic Music Festival), Summerbreak Music Festival, Breakwater Gathering, as well as the Superfriends, Funkalicious, and Pump it Louder series. Always searching for the perfect beat, his acquired taste in music will grab your attention and make your ass shake on its own! Mike has a knack for educating and entertaining a crowd at the same time when he plays. With his vast knowledge of electronic music, and ability to read a crowd, he knows what to play and when to play it. His ability to surprise a crowd every time he plays after all this time is nothing short of amazing. Mike is excited to rock Hush, and says it has been, and will always be his favourite place to play. He will be playing a set of mostly Soulful, Groovy House, infused with some Filthy Bass Line House. Mike has been a huge part of the Vancouver Island scene with his company Reliable Productions, contributing some of the largest and most memorable parties and DJ sets to date. It's no wonder he's Vancouver Islands' number 1 Party Rocker!
XAVIER WALKER
Over the past 7 years, Xavier has played over 100 shows on and off the Island. This man is a spinning machine covered in a soft exoskeleton. Whether it’s Funky, Dirty, Disco-Tinged, Deep and Dark House, or Electro, there is one word that brings all these elements together: Breaks. No one brings such hype and energy to the genre as Xavier. By himself and with fellow "Loud Neighbour” (a.k.a. W.A.X) Wes Bain, he’s shared the stage with international heroes NAPT, The Breakfastaz, General Midi, DJ Quest & Odissi, Shimon, Treasure Fingers and many more. Once called “Vancouver Island’s King of Breaks” Xavier is constantly bettering himself as a DJ by Dangerously Mixing styles with A Cappella to form his unique creation of Dance Floor Mayhem.
CHRISTOPH
Christoph Maitland is one of the few extraordinary DJs who defies being pigeonholed while being a world class party rocker. His mixes have reached out to thousands of people all over the world and his years of mixing at the clubs of Western Canada have made him a standout favorite among audiences. From Grindy Electro, to Percussive Fused Tech House, Progressive House and Futuristic Breaks his sets radiate a contagious energy. Christoph has become notorious for his Immaculate Mixing Skills, crowd interaction and his outright enthusiasm for great dance music!!
